Talk:2nd Corinthians Chapter 3

From The Open Bible Project

3:18 But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit.

Why does it not read "are being transformed" as this is present active tense in the Greek?

Verb tenses

Good question. Comments like this, assuming they are valid since I didn't get a chance to look at the Greek, should be presented as footnotes when the issue is critical. I don't know if we should be immediately deciding to change the translation. Perhaps this should be a decision made towards the end of the project. --Virgil Vaduva 16:48, 1 January 2006 (PST)
